Drive one lesson, then decide

You drive yourself, for 50 minutes. We look at what you can already do and you hear straight away roughly how many lessons you need.

How a trial lesson goes

We pick you up wherever suits you and first drive a bit to a quiet spot. There you swap seats. If you have never driven, we start at the beginning: seat position, mirrors, letting the clutch come up. If you have driven before, we get into real traffic fairly quickly.

The lesson lasts 50 minutes and you drive yourself. Your instructor sits beside you with dual controls, so nothing can go wrong, not even if you find it nerve-racking. Nothing is assessed and there is no right or wrong: it is an introduction, not a test. If you have exam anxiety, do say so beforehand.

Afterwards you hear two things. What already went well, and an honest estimate of the number of lessons you are likely to need. That number is not a sales pitch: on average someone needs 35 to 40, and if that applies to you we say so. Then you decide whether and with which package to continue.
